FAQ

What is P90X?

What is P90X2?

What are new the workouts?

How is the new program different from the original?
  1. The new program is an intense extension to the old program with workouts that focus on functionality, agility, balance, mobility and athleticism.
  2. The new program has more options in the nutrition plan to accommodate vegan and grain-free diets.  Also, instead of counting calories, a daily portion plan is set up where you mark off allowable portions of protein, dairy, fruit, vegetables, etc.  Much easier to calculate and record!
  3. The new program only has 5 workouts per week planned, giving you 2 days of rest.  With such an intense extension to P90X, you only need to workout out 5 days to get maximum results.
  4. The new program does not include a scheduled recovery week and each phase has variable lengths.  You are encouraged to listen to your body and advance into the next phase as your body tells you.  Phase 1 can last from 3-6 weeks.  During the first round of the new program, you'll probably need to go the whole 6 weeks.  As you complete subsequent rounds, your body might only need 3-4 weeks to complete each phase.  And there is no scheduled recovery week.  You are encouraged to listen to your body and transition into a recovery period when you're very tired, but before your exhausted.  Recovery periods can last from 3 days to 10-12 days as your body needs it.
  5. In the new program, there are no supplemental lean and doubles workouts. You will be getting the intensity you need in each workout to get lean from the new training.
  6. There is no traditional cardio workout video.  Cardio training is interwoven into each workout, eliminating the need for a separate "cardio" workout.
