This blog is intended to serve as both a resource and support through the P90X2 program. As P90X graduates, we've decided to continue to include helpful links, articles and recipes to those who are working through the P90X programs. Although we will mostly focus on the new program, we will keep all links and articles pertaining to P90X on our blog. As always, we welcome comments, questions and any other inspiring words to others who might be reading this and seeking encouragement themselves.

Day 5- Legs, Back, Abs
Wow! 1343 calories with this workout. That's more than what I did with the cardio x workout! I think the wall sits got my heart pumping today. It's been a very long time since I've done that kind of leg conditioning. I'm talking 10 years+. For back, I used the light resistance band over the pull up bar. I'm so worried about bulking up so I want to do the lightest resistance as possible, but I still felt it. I did better with the ab workout today and was able to keep up with more of it. I'm looking forward to Kenpo X tomorrow morning when Damien and I can do that one together. Good luck with Day 5!

ya that leg and back work out is no joke. Wall squats remind me of 6th period PE in highschool. I can feel the burn just thinking of it! I did the same as you when I did P90X... I used bands for pull ups and I loved my results. You probably already know this but I just made sure to really contract my muscles on every pull. I didn't want to bulk up either and the bands gave me a leaner look. Have fun with Kenpo. It was one of my favorites.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip Elena. I have the same high school memories as you, legs shaking and butt falling to the ground, but fighting so hard to stay up and keep the form. I'm glad you are doing well with your Insanity workout. I know the workouts and the program is shorter, but are the drills similar to P90X a all?
